Who am I? What am I?

Hello! My name is Kathryn Muñoz, and I would like to cordially invite you to my blog, Retrophilia!

First, I shall begin by explaining my title, Retrophilia. What does that even mean? According to the Collins English Dictionary, the term "retrophilia" is defined as "a strong liking for things from the past". This word basically sums up about 75 percent of my world view. I am definitely an "old soul". I have been in what I like to call a "decade identity crisis" for about five years now. It is difficult to be a disenchanted youth while trying to live in modern day society.

So here's a little bit about myself. I recently graduated from high school in May of 2015. I am 18 years old (soon to be 19 this September) and currently a student at Washburn Uniersity in Topeka, KS, majoring in mass media. So, as you may be able to guess, this blog is actually an assignment for a class I'm taking that relates to my major. However, that doesn't mean that the quality of my blog will be half-assed for the sake of finishing the class. I plan to be sincere with every post I make.

I am excited to be blogging on one of my most significant existential mysteries. I look forward to posting for you!
